Full Time Officers

The Foxborough Police Department hires full time police officers from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Civil Service List.  The test used to establish this list is given on an average of once every two years.  For information about the Civil Service process and when the next test will be given please go to the Civil Service Web Page at www.mass.gov.

Reserve Officers

We maintain a corps of Reserve Officers who work on an on-call basis for special events.  Currently we have no openings and do not anticipate hiring additional Reserve Officers in the foreseeable future.  Any notice of hiring will be posted on this website and in the local media.

Public Safety Dispatchers (Police, Fire & EMS)

We have an open application process for Dispatchers.  Dispatchers generally start in a part time capacity, working nights and weekends.  Preference is given to Town residents and those who have completed the state 911 training program.  For information about Dispatcher openings, contact:  deputychief@foxboroughpolice.com.

Matrons

We have an open application process for Matrons.  Matrons monitor female custodies and work “on-call” mostly nights and weekends.  Preference is given to Town residents and those who have current CPR/First Responder certification.  For information about Matron openings, contact: deputychief@foxboroughpolice.com

Internships

We have a limited number of internships for college students enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an accredited criminal justice program.  These are non-paying positions and are primarily administrative and support services related.  Preference is given to Town residents and those with strong technical skills.  Experience with Microsoft Office products a plus.  For information about internships contact:  ahaskell@foxboroughpolice.com
