The trail system was created in 1989 as part of G.O.A.L.S. plan. It now affords opportunities for hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers and off road motorcycles to use appropriately marked trails. Forest staff and volunteers regularly patrol all the trails looking for maintenance needs and rule and regulation compliance.
