Town of Foxborough Water Department
Notice of Seasonal Water Use Restrictions
In accordance with the conditions of the Water Management Act Permits issued to the Town of Foxborough by the MassDEP, Foxborough shall implement the following mandatory water restrictions on outdoor water use effective May 1, 2011 through September 30, 2011:
No non-essential outdoor water use is allowed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
That is, watering of lawns via sprinklers or automated irrigation systems, washing of cars (other than at commercial car washes), washing of walkways, building surfaces, etc. is not allowed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
You are referred to the Water Department’s web site at http://www.foxboroughma.gov (see Watering Restriction Notice) for information regarding non-essential outdoor water use, acceptable outdoor water uses, conservation tips, and fines and penalties for noncompliance. You may also call the Water Department at (508) 543-1209. In addition, the Foxborough Water Department has imposed the following restrictions:

WATERING WITH SPRINKLERS WILL BE PERMITTED AS FOLLOWS:
Odd-Numbered Homes – MONDAY & THURSDAY Even-Numbered Homes – TUESDAY & FRIDAY Between the hours of 6:00-9:00 P.M. ONLY |
Handheld hoses may be used any day, except between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
No sprinklers will be allowed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
This will ensure an adequate supply of water for fire protection and all consumers. A waiver may be granted for commercial nurseries for nursery stock only, and for up to 14 days for newly installed lawns during the months of May and September only.
