Massachusetts Making History

September 24, 2019:Governor Charlie Baker declared a "Public Health Emergency" announcing a temporary four-month ban on the sale of all vape products.
November 27, 2019:Governor Charlie Baker signed the bill "An Act Modernizing Tobacco Control" into law.
December 11, 2019:
Massachusetts Department of Public Health promulgated an emergency regulation, 105 CMR 665: Minimum Standards for Retail Sale of Tobacco and Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems".

Effective Immediately:
--> The law restricts the sale of flavored electronic nicotine delivery systems such as flavored e-cigarettes and flavored vaping products within non-age restricted establishments such as convenience stores and liquor stores.
--> The law restricts advertisement of tobacco products that are prohibited to be sold.
