FOXBOROUGH'S OPEN SPACE & RECREATION PLAN UPDATE
The Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee is currently working on the Update of Foxborough's Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP); the 2011-2018 Plan expired in July 2018.
An OSRP is an important planning guideline that
- Identifies residents’ overall goals for the Town’s open space and recreation resources;
- Recommends strategies for development that will support these goals; and
- Qualifies the town of Foxborough to apply for various State grant programs.
Paper copies of the now expired (2011-2018) OSRP are available at the Boyden Library, Conservation Department in Town Hall, and digitally, on this site.
After the OSRP Update has been drafted in accordance with residents’ input, it will be posted on the Conservation Commission’s website for public review; comments and suggestions and then letters of support will be requested (please submit to the Commission at email@example.com or to 40 South Street, Foxborough, MA 02035). After receiving this additional input, the OSRP Update will be submitted to the DCS for their approval.
If you are a resident who would like to help with the 2018 OSRP update, please let us know by contacting Jane Pierce (firstname.lastname@example.org). We appreciate any help that you are willing to give us!
