The Foxboro Water and Sewer Department is dedicated to providing, protecting and maintaining the water supply/distribution system and sewer system for the Town of Foxborough. Our commitment is to supply quality water that complies with all State and Federal standards provide excellent customer service, provide education in water conservation and plan for future needs.

Where We Are:

The Town of Foxborough through voluntarily sampling has discovered the presence of PFAS in our water supply.  The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) has recommended that we share this information with our residents. Notice of Seasonal Water Use Restrictions

In accordance with the conditions of the Water Management Act Permits issued to the Town of Foxborough by the Massachusetts DEP (Permit #9P2427099.01), Foxborough shall implement the following mandatory water restrictions on outdoor water use:

Non-essential outdoor water use is prohibited between the hours of
9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

That is, watering of lawns via sprinklers or automated irrigation systems, washing of cars (other than at commercial car washes), washing of walkways, building surfaces, etc. is not allowed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

In addition, per the Water Management Act Permit:

Effective May 1, 2023

WATERING WITH SPRINKLERS WILL BE PERMITTED AS FOLLOWS:

Odd-Numbered Homes:

MONDAY & THURSDAY ONLY

Even-Numbered Homes:
TUESDAY & FRIDAY ONLY

Between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

ONLY

**Watering with handheld hoses is allowed every day before
      9:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m.**

 
Please note that this is a MassDEP Permit required action, and is not caused by any supply issues.
