Next National Drug Take Back Day

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) typically holds two National Drug Take Back Saturdays in April and October.  The Foxborough Police Department often takes part in these events and prescription/non-prescription drugs can be disposed of at that time.  Please find information related to the next National Drug Take Back Day below:

Protect the Environment...Protect those around you...

*Always check the medicine information leaflet that came with your prescription for drug-specific disposal instructions.
*Some medications are very dangerous and require IMMEDIATE disposal.  When a take back option is not readily available or if they will not accept your type of medication, these medicines should be flushed.  For a list of what can be flushed and FDA's response to the impacts of flushing medicines on the environment, click here.

*Twice a year, the the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) holds National Drug Take Back Day.  For those cities and towns across the U.S. that do not have year-round disposal means, it provides citizens a safe, convenient and anonymous means of disposing prescription and over the counter drugs...with the goal of keeping it out of the wrong hands and from harming the environment.

For those medications (i.e. liquids, creams, etc.) that are not accepted at the kiosk, please follow the steps below for proper disposal...
