Why It Matters
Many veterans in our community are unaware of the full range of benefits and supports they qualify for. House to House for Heroes helps bridge that gap — not just by providing information, but by creating a personal connection between veterans and the community that values their service.
How It Works
Resident volunteers will be given documentation and materials, then divided into teams to visit veterans’ homes across town. They will:
-
Share important information about benefits, resources, and programs available to veterans and their families.
-
Provide printed materials and answer basic questions about local, state, and federal supports.
-
Offer a friendly connection for veterans who may not realize just how strong their support system is here in Foxborough.
These visits are short, respectful, and focused on sharing helpful information. Volunteers will carry official documentation and will never ask for money or personal financial details.
For Veterans and Families
The goal of this initiative is to make sure every veteran in Foxborough is aware of and has access to the services and opportunities they’ve earned. Topics may include:
-
Health care and mental health services
-
Housing supports and financial assistance
-
Education and job training programs
-
Local resources and community connections
Even if you already use some of these services, our team may be able to share additional programs or supports available to you and your family.
