How to Apply to serve on a Town board, committee, commission, or group:
Thank you for your interest!
Serving on a board, committee, or council is a meaningful way to give back to Foxborough. These volunteer groups help shape local decisions and support the programs and services that make our town a great place to live. If you’re interested in sharing your time, skills, or perspective, we encourage you to explore the open seats and consider getting involved.
For open seats that do not require a vote:
Please complete and submit the form linked below to the Select Board Liaison in the Town Administration office at Town Hall, 40 South Street or email to [email protected] (there is currently no due date for these applications, though we do highly recommend applying as soon as possible).
If there is a seat available, this application will be shared with the entire board, committee, commission, or group. In the event of multiple applications, interviews may be conducted by the board, committee, commission or group which will then recommend an appointee to the Select Board.
Should the request be accepted, the Select Board will vote to appoint on the next available agenda and the resident will then be notified when an appointment is made. After the Select Board vote, an appointment letter will be distributed by the Town Manager’s Office and the newly appointed member will need to be sworn in with the Town Clerk before attending a meeting. Ethics and Open Meeting Law training will be discussed at this time.
