Strategic Plan 2026

Foxborough is kicking off a community-led process to build a long-range Strategic Plan, shaped from the start by the people who live here — YOU!

This plan will be our shared roadmap for where Foxborough is headed and the steps we’ll take to get there, based on what we hear from the people who live here. We’ll also gather input from local businesses and those who work in Foxborough, so the plan reflects the full picture of our community and the priorities that matter most.

Explore this page to learn what a Strategic Plan is, how the process will work, what’s coming up and when, and the different ways residents can share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback along the way.

If you have questions about the Strategic Plan, please call us at 508-543-1201 or send an email to [email protected].

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

A strong strategic plan depends on the people it serves. Your ideas, questions, and feedback help shape the goals and priorities that will guide our work in the years ahead. Whether you attend a public meeting, take a short survey, or share input online, there are simple ways to take part. Explore the options below and choose the one that works best for you.

  • Learn about the Plan and Process: Start by learning what a Strategic Plan is, why it matters, the impact it will have, and how the overall process works. Understanding the plan helps you provide informed and meaningful feedback.

  • Take the Polco National Community Survey: The survey will launch in March 2026! Take the survey (on paper or online) — your responses will help us understand community priorities, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Join a Listening Session (April)Beginning in the spring, we will host targeted Listening Sessions for specific groups, such as parents and guardians, business owners, non-profits and community groups, etc. While anyone may attend any session, these conversations are designed to gather feedback from a range of perspectives across town.

  • Come to a Community Open House (September): In the fall, we will host a Community Open House. This event will give residents the opportunity to mingle with Town leaders, learn more about the Strategic Plan, ask questions, and speak directly with staff and subject matter experts in a more casual setting.

  • Attend the Community Meeting to review the draft plan (October): Join us in October to review the draft Strategic Plan. This meeting will provide an opportunity to offer feedback before the plan is finalized.

  • Attend the Select Board meeting to adopt the final plan (late October/early November): The Select Board will review and consider adoption of the final Strategic Plan at one of their Tuesday evening public meetings i the fall. Residents are welcome to attend in person or watch the meeting live on Foxboro Cable Access (FCA).

  • Contact us Anytime: You can always participate  even if you can't attend the events! Send us your questions, ideas, and feedback directly at any time: email [email protected] or call 508-543-1201.

Our Strategic Plan Process

Our process for creating this community-driven Strategic Plan has five main phases:
Flyer announcing the Town of Foxborough’s Strategic Plan, a community-led effort to guide town decisions over the next five to ten years. The flyer explains what a strategic plan is, why public input matters, and includes a QR code linking to the project webpage.

Graphic showing five ways residents can help shape Foxborough’s Strategic Plan, including a community survey, listening session, ongoing updates, a community open house, and plan review before finalization. Dates are noted as tentative, and a QR code links to the project webpage.
