Mission Statement:It is the mission of The Treasurer/Collector's Office to provide taxpayers and town employees with professional and courteous customer service. We will answer all inquiries in a timely manner. We will treat all Taxpayers with equity and take all necessary steps, allowable by law to collect on all past due accounts.

What does the Town's Treasurer / Collector's Office do?The Town Revenue Officer (Treasurer and Collector of Taxes) is responsible for managing and directing the tax collection process, and for planning, coordinating and directing the Town's financial policies. The Treasurer serves as Custodian of Funds for all Town monies — cash management, investment management, debt management, and administration of all employees' payroll and benefits are among the Treasurer's responsibilities. The Treasurer performs their fiduciary responsibility by developing investment and borrowing strategies based on financial best practices, consultation with financial advisors and investment institutions. The Collector of Taxes is responsible for the efficient and timely billing and collection of all monies due the Town including:

  • Real Estate Tax

  • Excise Motor Vehicle Tax

  • Personal Property Tax

  • Water & Sewer
